Delegate a Whole Job with Clear Limits
Define a bounded multi-step job, set approval points, and verify completion from evidence.
Start where you are.
Who it is for
Experienced users ready to supervise an AI helper that takes several steps with tools.
Starting skills
Levels 4–6 skills or equivalent workflow, tool, and evaluation experience; approved sandbox tool access.
Proposed format: 3 × 120-minute sessionsClear goals. Useful skills.
- Write a job brief with inputs, completion criteria, permitted tools, and limits.
- Configure human check-ins and escalation behavior.
- Run and evaluate a multi-step job with a record of actions and a stop procedure.
Hands-on exercise
Ask a sandbox agent to compare three supplied venue fact sheets, produce a shortlist, draft questions, and report evidence. It must not book, spend, send, or access unrelated files.
Learn, try, reflect.
Session 1
- compare chat, automation, and agents — 20 minutes
- define a bounded job — 30
- set permissions and approval points — 30
- build a test plan — 25
- review the brief — 15
Session 2
- configure a sandbox agent — 35 minutes
- run the happy path — 30
- inspect actions and evidence — 25
- refine check-ins — 20
- record the result — 10
Session 3
- test missing information, conflicting sources, and forbidden actions — 40 minutes
- improve limits and escalation — 25
- demonstrate the whole job — 30
- write handoff and stop instructions — 15
- reflect — 10
Practice that earns
your confidence.
The agent meets the written completion criteria, stops for approval where required, refuses forbidden actions, and provides evidence for its result.
Feedback and another try are part of learning. Attendance alone does not establish the level.
Between-class practice
Run a second bounded sample and review the action record before proposing any real-world integration.
Materials and access
Sandbox agent environment, fictional venue pack, job brief, permissions matrix, test cases, and action log.
Account and tool requirements will be confirmed before enrollment. Labs use fictional or approved material.
